3D Artworks

Characters

This was my first ever character model and rig. It was made for the main character of a group college game project called Cloud-9. Overall, the design and modeling process took about 3 weeks. I took a lot of inspiration from 80s/90s scifi media, especially anime and video games. I used Maya to model and texture the character, using my concept art as reference.

A scifi themed blaster gun for the main character of Cloud-9. Overall, the design and modeling process took only a few hours. In the game, the gun glows with blue lights. I used Maya to model and texture the gun, using my concept art as reference.

See the concept art for both the CLOUD-9 character and weapon on the concept art page.

This is a model for the player character of an unfinished class game project titled, “H2GO!”. I was challenged by my professor to design and create a simple character for low poly modeling in a program called Asset Forge, rather than in the Maya software which I was used to. This was very tricky to do, as the program didn’t allow much more than basic primitive shapes, but working with these constraints pushed me to make a clean and simple, yet appealing character design. In the game, the kid would have collected water in the cup that is balancing on his baseball cap.

This is a model for the player character of an unfinished class game project titled, “H2GO!”. Again, like Capwater Kid, I was challenged by my professor to design and create a simple character for low poly modeling in a program called Asset Forge, rather than in Maya. In the game, he would have collected water in the top container of his head, and would have had the ability to pour water from his nose like a cooler faucet.

Environments

Metronomium

These are stage backgrounds for a university team game project titled, "Metronomium". The game's levels are split up into four musical genres, with each stage representing a sub-genre. The giant clock-like object in each of the backgrounds is a constant reminder of the looming threat of the game's main villain, "The One".

I modeled each of these out in Maya, and used a combination of Krita and Photoshop to paint the background sky boxes. Each one took a few hours to make.

game page for Metronomium.

CLOUD-9

This is the 3D environment art and level design for a college group game project called Cloud-9. I designed and modeled everything out within a month and a half. Some things were modeled in Maya, while others were modeled right in the Unity engine itself with a tool called ProBuilder.

Everything in the images were created by me excluding the textures which were downloaded free from:

game page for CLOUD-9.
